Tyler Morrissey has been named Director of Engineering at the Fort Myers-based Luminary Hotel & Co.
With great pleasure, Luminary Hotel & Co. announces Tyler Morrissey’s appointment to the position of Director of Engineering. Morrissey will play a crucial role in managing Luminary Hotel & Co.’s operations and maintenance, making sure that all of the establishments adhere to the strictest safety and quality standards. Morrissey will also make sure that all Fire Department regulations are followed and that all pertinent federal, state, and local regulatory bodies’ certifications are kept current.
Orrissey joins Luminary Hotel & Co. with over 15 years of HVAC experience. Morrissey flourished in his career after receiving his Florida Contractor’s license in 2013, which led to his position as Chief Engineer at JW Marriott Marco Island. There, he oversaw a group of forty engineers who made sure the hotel’s intricate systems ran smoothly and were maintained. Morrissey was chosen for Marriott’s esteemed Advanced Engineering Program in 2023 as a result of Marriott Regional Leadership recognizing his extraordinary leadership and creative approach. This course, which put a strong emphasis on sustainability initiatives, complemented Morrissey’s dedication to a more environmentally friendly future and deepened his understanding of sustainable practices.
Morrissey, who is originally from Indiana, fell in love with Southwest Florida while on yearly family vacations and moved there permanently in 2001. Together with his three sons, he and his wife, Nicole, currently call the area home. Away from his work obligations, Morrissey likes to travel to new places with his family, cheer on his son’s varsity sports team at Oasis High School, and laze in the sun at the beach.
