Shrikant Wakharkar has been appointed as the new General Manager and Area Vice President of Park Hyatt Hyderabad.
Having previously held the positions of Area Vice President of Hyatt Hotels in North India and General Manager of Hyatt Regency Delhi, he brings with him over thirty years of extensive experience in the hospitality sector. Throughout his long career, he has held executive positions at well-known companies like Marriott Hotels, Taj, IHG, and Starwood.
In his new position at Park Hyatt Hyderabad, he will be in charge of managing the renowned hotel’s operations and procedures, supervising plans for strategic expansion, and directing creative projects aimed at enhancing the hotel’s competitive edge.

In 1989, he started out as a trainee in hotel management and worked his way up to positions like banquet manager, food and beverage manager, and assistant restaurant manager. After working as a general manager at several different hotels, he was promoted to general manager and area vice president for Hyatt Hotels, North India, in February 2022.
Having completed his studies at the Institute of Hotel Management in Bhubaneshwar, he has refined his abilities through Cornell University’s professional development programs. Beyond his accomplishments in the workplace, Shrikant relishes travel, trying out new foods, and running marathons, all of which he feels are necessary for staying in shape and focused.
