General Manager of The Four Seasons Resort Mauritius at Anahita is now Martin Dell.

General Manager Martin Dell has been appointed to the Four Seasons Resort Mauritius at Anahita. Martin Dell emphasizes, “Being a hotelier is a way of life,” looking forward to his island adventure in his new capacity. Dell, a native of the Czech Republic, attended hotel school at the Grand Hotel Pupp there and had his first taste of the hospitality industry. Dell started planning a 21-year journey after earning his bachelor’s degree in business and hotel management from the William Blue Hospitality School in Australia. During this time, he acquired a variety of skills and priceless experiences all over the world.

Dell ascended through the ranks, establishing relationships with numerous esteemed food and beverage establishments from Sydney, Hong Kong, and Singapore to Jordan, Doha, and Maui. After working as the director of food and beverage at the Regent Singapore (which was then run by Four Seasons), Dell’s dedication and leadership brought him to the role of hotel manager at Four Seasons in 2014.

After visiting the Hawaiian island of Maui in 2016 and returning to the Czech Republic in February 2020 to take up the role of the first Czech general manager at the Four Seasons Prague, his career took a sharp turn for the better. He remembers, “It was an honor to take on this role, and it was the ideal chance for my family to get back in touch with their roots.” Manhattan Bar improved during his time in Singapore, ranking first in Asia’s 50 Best Bars in 2017 and third in the world’s 50 Best Bars the following year. He reflects on the groundbreaking honor the team received, saying, “It was a proud moment for me and the entire food and beverage team to secure a coveted place in The World’s 50 Best Bars.”

When Dell took over the storied Four Seasons Hotel Prague, it became known for setting records, particularly in hard times. During his tenure, the hotel achieved record-breaking guest experience and staff satisfaction scores, and it maintained its prestigious Forbes 5-star status for five consecutive years. Accolades flowed in.More than anything, I enjoy learning from my colleagues and imparting my knowledge to them,” he says. “The secret to success is to work together, share the passion, and enjoy what we do.”
