Russian President Vladimir Putin on Saturday signed a treaty on the nation’s strategic partnership with North Korea which features a mutual defence provision, enacting it into regulation.

The decree making the partnership regulation appeared on a official web site outlining legislative procedures. The treaty was ratified by Russia’s parliament.
