The new Director of Operations is Deba Prasad.
Deba Prasad has been named as the new Director of Operations by Cygnett Hotels & Resorts. With an MBA from UBI, Belgium and a Bachelor of Commerce (Hons) from IHM Pusa, Prasad is a renowned alumnus with a strong 27-year background in hospitality management.
As a result of his important roles with major international hotel chains like Oberoi, Taj, Jaypee, Starwood, Lalit, Best Western, Sterling, Wyndham, and MGM, Prasad has proven his expertise in a variety of hotel operations in India and abroad.

General Manager of Operations and Pre-Opening Support Rajeev Sharma
Rajeev Sharma has been named as the new General Manager of Operations & Pre-Opening Support by Cygnett Hotels & Resorts. With a postgraduate degree in hotel and hospitality management and a bachelor’s degree in commerce, Sharma is a seasoned hospitality expert who brings to the company more than two decades of extensive experience in the hospitality sector, both in India and abroad. Sharma has built an impressive career since completing his executive management training in Food & Beverage at the Welcome Management Institute (WMI, ITC-India).

In his new position, he will be in charge of the operational side of things and assist with the pre-opening stages of new properties, making sure that every endeavor complies with Cygnett’s high standards for quality and effectiveness.
With Shyam Bhethanabotla in charge of technology
Shyam Bhethanabotla has been appointed as the new Chief Technology Officer (CTO) by Cygnett Hotels & Resorts. Bhethanabotla holds a Bachelor of Technology in Electronics and a Master of Science in Computer Science from the University of Florida. She has over 28 years of experience designing and implementing large-scale systems in a variety of industries, including tech, e-commerce, and hospitality, both domestically and internationally.
Bhethanabotla held executive leadership positions at significant international companies like Reliance, Lucent, Verizon, and HCL prior to joining Cygnett. His proficiency in AI/ML systems, cloud computing, and enterprise architecture is especially recognized for fostering innovation and improving operational efficiency in business settings.
In his capacity as CTO, Shyam will be in charge of Cygnett’s IT infrastructure growth as well as the introduction of cutting-edge platforms that complement the organization’s strategic objectives. He currently serves on the board of the Cygnett Group and has a significant influence over the direction of the business’s technological developments.
