Gibson joins Cheval Collection from Virgin Hotels, where he served as General Manager of their Glasgow property, bringing with him a wealth of experience in the luxury hospitality sector. His career highlights include managing The Glasshouse, Edinburgh, a notable Autograph Collection hotel, and holding a significant role as Director of Operations at the Dalmahoy Marriott Hotel & Country Club.

Cheval Collection’s presence in Edinburgh encompasses three distinctive properties: Cheval The Edinburgh Grand on St Andrew Square, Cheval Old Town Chambers on the Royal Mile, and Cheval Abbey Strand Apartments near the Palace of Holyroodhouse. These residences collectively offer 133 luxurious apartments, catering to discerning travelers seeking premium accommodations in Scotland’s capital.

The group’s commitment to excellence is underscored by its membership in the Global Hotel Alliance, distinguishing Cheval Collection as the sole serviced apartment operator in Europe within this prestigious network. This affiliation underscores Cheval’s dedication to delivering unparalleled service and experiences to its guests.

Looking ahead, Cheval Collection is poised for further growth with plans to expand its footprint through strategic management agreements. Currently operating nine locations in London, including its renowned Cheval Knightsbridge, and with additional properties in Edinburgh and Dubai, Cheval Collection continues to attract investors and developers across Europe and the UK.

In 2025, the group anticipates the launch of Cheval Maison – West Regent in Glasgow, marking its fourth property in Scotland. Further bolstering its international presence, Cheval Collection is set to open Cheval Maison – Expo City Dubai in 2025, alongside its inaugural property in Saudi Arabia, Cheval Ladun Living in Riyadh, expected to complete by 2027.

With Tom Gibson at the helm in Edinburgh, Cheval Collection reaffirms its commitment to providing unparalleled hospitality and expanding its global influence in the luxury serviced apartment sector.
