Thompson Denver has appointed TJ Helms as Director of Group Sales.
The dynamic LoDo neighborhood of Denver is home to the two-year-old lifestyle hotel, Thompson Denver, where TJ Helms has been appointed Director of Group Sales!
Helms has spent his entire professional career with Hyatt Hotels & Resorts, and he is carrying on his 13-year legacy with the company in his most recent position as Director of Group Sales and Sales Manager at the Hyatt Regency Denver/Grand Hyatt Denver. He was a 2023 Hyatt Commercial Services Director of Group Sales of the Year Nominee and worked there for 6.5 years.
Helms started his career at the Hyatt Regency Chicago, where he worked in housekeeping, front desk, and sales, among other departments. In 2014, he relocated to Maui, where he worked as the sales manager at the Andaz Maui at Wailea Resort before taking a position at the Hyatt Regency Austin.
Helms will be in charge of event planning, marketing, public relations, group and event sales, and hotel activations in his new position at Thompson Denver.
Helms, who is originally from Cary, Illinois, now resides in Littleton, Colorado with his spouse and son. They enjoy hiking, skiing, running, cooking, gardening, exploring national parks, watching sports, and traveling.
