The Telangana authorities on Friday withdrew the controversial proposal of land acquisition for the pharma metropolis mission at Lagacharla and Polepally villages of Dudyal block in Vikarabad district, following huge protests from the villagers within the final three weeks.

The notification stated the federal government has withdrawn the full acquisition of 71.31 acres of assigned land within the Polepally village and one other 632.26 acres of land from the neighbouring Lagacharla village.
