Mukesh’s career in hospitality started humbly but gained momentum quickly. His first role was as a Guest Service Associate (GSA) at The Pride Hotel, Ahmedabad, from 2013 to 2014. Here, he honed his skills in basic food service operations, setting table covers, and maintaining cleanliness standards. This foundational experience was crucial as it laid the groundwork for his understanding of guest service and operations.
In 2014, Mukesh joined Novotel Ahmedabad as a Senior GSA, where he further developed his skills in serving food, supporting banquets, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and service. This role marked his first significant step up the career ladder and demonstrated his capability to handle more responsibilities.
Advancing to Leadership Roles
Mukesh’s ambition and talent soon earned him a promotion to Captain at Radisson Blu Jaipur from 2015 to 2017. In this role, he was responsible for supervising food and beverage service to ensure smooth and standard operations. He also took on additional responsibilities like inventory management and financial objectives, which provided him with a broader perspective of the business side of hospitality.
His next role was at Crowne Plaza Ahmedabad City Centre as an F&B Supervisor from 2017 to 2019. Here, Mukesh supervised food service operations, organized staff training, and conducted briefings to ensure high service standards. His ability to manage staffing levels effectively to meet guest service needs and financial objectives highlighted his strategic planning capabilities.
Moving Up the Ladder
In 2019, Mukesh joined Binori-A Boutique Hotel in Ahmedabad as an Assistant Restaurant Manager. This role allowed him to take on greater managerial responsibilities, including creating annual budgets, conducting weekly training sessions, and motivating staff to reduce turnover. His proficiency in food and beverage preparation and service was further refined during this period.
By October 2022, Mukesh had advanced to the role of Restaurant Manager at Seasons Hotel Rajkot. His responsibilities included supervising catering staff, demonstrating budgetary needs, and interacting with high-profile patrons to promote the brand. In August 2023, Mukesh was promoted to F&B Manager at the same hotel. In this role, he led the F&B service department, managed the kitchen and service teams, oversaw administrative tasks, and maintained communication with management and corporate directors. His ability to prepare budgets, cost analyses, and performance reviews showcased his strategic and analytical skills.
Current Role: Assistant F&B Manager at The Fern Wisteria Resort
As of February 2024, Mukesh has been serving as the Assistant F&B Manager at The Fern Wisteria Resort, Dhari. In this role, he supervises customer service to ensure guest satisfaction, identifies training needs, and conducts monthly training sessions to maintain service standards. Mukesh also participates in promotional activities, creates new promotions to attract guests, and prepares duty rotas to ensure adequate manpower for operations.
His responsibilities extend to evaluating team performance, resolving guest complaints, and maintaining hygiene and cleanliness standards. Mukesh operates in a safe and environmentally friendly manner, complying with the hotel’s environmental health and safety policies.
