Kshitiz Shekhar has been promoted to Corporate Executive Chef at Sarovar Hotels & Resorts in Mumbai
At Mumbai’s Sarovar Hotels & Resorts, Kshitiz Shekhar has been elevated to the position of Corporate Executive Chef. This promotion comes after an outstanding run as the organization’s Director of Culinary and, before that, as an Executive Chef.
Kshitiz brings to his new position a wealth of culinary knowledge as well as leadership experience. He worked as an Executive Sous Chef at InterContinental Hotels Group before joining Sarovar Hotels & Resorts, where he developed his talents in creative menu development and high-volume kitchen management.
Significant periods of time spent working as a Chef De Cuisine and, formerly, as a Sous Chef at the Hotel Sahara Star in Mumbai are also included in his culinary career. Here, he played a key role in designing and putting into action fine dining experiences that improved the hotel’s standing.
During his tenure as a Sous Chef and Supervisor at Sheraton Hotels & Resorts in the United States, Kshitiz gained invaluable experience in global hospitality standards and operations. This experience counts toward his international experience.
Kshitiz began his career as a kitchen executive trainee at ITC Hotels in Mumbai and worked his way up to the position of chef de partie. He gained a strong foundation in kitchen management and culinary skills during this formative time.
Kshitiz graduated with a bachelor’s degree in restaurant, culinary, and catering management from IHM Bhubaneswar. He finished his previous schooling at DAV Public School in Patna and Bihar National College.
