How to Prepare Chocolate Truffle Cake Without Eggs

First Step

Set an oven temperature of 350°F (175°C) and coat a circular cake pan with cooking spray or butter.

Step Two

In a large bowl, stir together all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt. To ensure uniform dispersion, use a whisk or fork. In a different bowl, combine the plain yogurt, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract. Mix the mixture thoroughly. Gradually stir the wet mixture into the dry ingredients. Finally, avoid overmixing and maintain a lump-free batter.

Step Three

Slowly pour the hot water into the batter and fold it in gently. The hot water makes the cake soft and moist. Using a spatula, even out the batter in the greased cake pan. Tap the pan lightly on the counter to release any trapped air bubbles. Preheat the oven and bake the cake pan for approximately.

Step Four

Bake for thirty to thirty-five minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. After the cake is baked, take it out of the oven and let it cool completely in the pan before moving it to a wire rack.

Step Five

While the cake cools, prepare the frosting. In a heatproof bowl, melt dark chocolate over simmering water. Periodically stir until smooth. Give it a few minutes to cool. In a separate bowl, whip heavy cream until soft peaks form. Melted chocolate should be added gradually while whisking. Whisk the frosting until it thickens and takes on a glossy appearance.

Step Six

Using a spatula or cake decorating tool, liberally spread the chocolate truffle frosting over the top and sides of the cooled cake that has been placed on a serving plate.

Step Seven

For a more refined appearance, decorate the cake with fresh berries, chocolate curls, or sprinkles. Your cake is now prepared for serving.
