Chef Mohammed Eliyaz appointed as Executive Chef at Conrad Bengaluru.
Conrad Bengaluru has appointed Chef Mohammed Eliyaz as Executive Chef. Chef Eliyaz has a BSc degree in Hospitality and Catering Management from IHM Meerut and has had the opportunity to learn under renowned chefs at Hotel Hassler in Rome.
Throughout his 15-year career, he has worked with some of the best Michelin-starred chefs. He was the Executive Chef at Nadodi in Kuala Lumpur, a Michelin-starred restaurant. He also served as Group R&D Chef at Cinnamon Group, where he oversaw the launch of new businesses and coordinated food and beverage development initiatives.
Closer to home, he oversaw the kitchen at ALBA, the renowned European restaurant at the JW Marriott Hotel in Bengaluru, for two and a half years, during which time ALBA received the ‘Best Italian Restaurant’ title in the fine dining category at the Food Awards 2018.

Chef Eliyaz will now oversee a brilliant team of chefs and F&B workers throughout the property. He will design and create trademark and seasonal menus, develop novel culinary partnerships, and oversee successful F&B operations. As Executive Chef, he will be in charge of planning and strategy for Conrad Bengaluru’s renowned culinary pillar.
Chef Eliyaz has received recognition for his talents in the culinary arts. He was named Young Chef of the Year by IHE in 2019, Most Innovative Chef of the Year by BBC Food in 2019, and one of the Top 10 Young Chefs and Top 40 Chefs in the Country Under the Age of 40 by Condé Nast Traveller magazine. Furthermore, he declared victory as the winner of Chefs vs. Fridge Season 2. Under his astute leadership, Nadodi came under the Michelin guide map, and Tatler magazine awarded Nadodi the best restaurant recognition in Malaysia.
